The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ *********************************************************************** *NOTE* HENSON,GEORGIA ANN b.28 Jan 1856 d.5 Aug 1947 buried Carter cemetery *Carter,Beckham Co.,Ok., m.Jack HENSON Aug 1911 ************************************************************ Georgia Ann HENSON was born Jan 28,1856,at Kaufman,Tex.and departed this life at 10:45 p.m. August 5,at the home of Mr.and Mrs. Willys Kaufman near Carter at the age of 91 years,6 months and 9 days.Funeral services were held at 4:30 p.m. August 7,in the Carter Baptist Church with Brother SCHNEIDER,Seventh Day Adventist preacher from Oklahoma City,officiating.She was laid to rest in Carter cemetery. She was married to Jack HENSON in August,1911.They resided around Carter all their lives.She was preceded in death-by her husband and two sons.She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church over 50 years and was a very true and devoted Christian. Mrs.HENSON is survived by five children:Mrs.Cassie HAWKINS of Sayre,Mrs.Callie KNOX of Los Angeles,Calif.Mrs.Lottie THOMAS of Willow,Will HENSON and Hub HENSON.Three sisters,Mrs.Mattie Mae WILLIAMS of McALLEN,Tex.,Mrs.Fannie BROWN of Houston,Tex.,and Mrs.Jannie VAN VACTOR of Oklahoma City,are left to mourn her departure Five grandsons by a former marriage,Joe,Allen,Lloyd,Aubrey and Troy HALLMARK,were pallbearers at the funeral.She is also survived by 18 other grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
