PIONEER OF AREA DIES AT ERICK
 
  Grover cleveland Holbert,
801 South Maple, Erick, died
early Friday morning in the 
Erick hospital following an ex-
tended illness.  Services will be 
held Saturday at 2 p.m. in
the First Baptist church, Erick,
with Rev. Bill Donovan, officiat-
ing.
  Born December 27, 1885 at
Salpillo, Texas, Mr. Holbert
was married to Nellie Lamb at
Canadian, Texas, Feburary21,
1945.  After marriage, they mov-
ed to Durham and in 1947 they
moved to the Erick community
where they have resided since.
He was a member of the First
Baptist church.
  Two sons preceded him in
death.
  Survivors are his wife of the
home: one step daughter, Ruth
Ann Benson, Midwest City.
  Interment will be in the
Erick cemetery with Fatheree-
Albert funeral home in charge 
of arrangements.
