Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Silent Home Cemetery near Cheyenne with Tom Harguess officiating. Arrangements are by Martin Funeral Home. Mrs. Hunter was born May 4, 1909, in Rankin, to Shelby James and Julia O. Evans Butler. She married George Tommy Hunter on Aug. 20, 1935, in Wheeler, Texas. She was a member of Second and Adams Street Church of Christ in Elk City. She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 22, 1997. Survivors include several nieces and nephews, two of whom are Annell Holland of Hereford, Texas, and Reva Hill of Amarillo, Texas. The family suggests memorials be to High Plains Children's Home in Amarillo.
