Lawrency A.ANDERTON was born August 28,1908 in Carter,the daughter of John A.ANDERTON and Martha (KING) ANDERTON,and died Tuesday in the Elk City Community hospital at the age of 81. Lawrency ANDERTON married Clair Lee HYDER in Carter in 1933,and he preceded her in death in 19?1.Mrs.Hyder came to Elk City from Goodland,Ka.,in 1965.She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge in Goodland and belonged to the First Baptist Church in Elk City.Mrs.HYDER was active in the Community Hospital Auxiliary for many years. She is survived by two daughters,Bobbie Jean SAINT of Arlington,Tex., and Norma Jo BUCHANAN of Beech Mountain,N.C.;five grandchildren,Alvin A.Saint,Ruth E.BUCHANAN,and Andrea A.BUCHANAN;one brother,Elard ANDERTON of Okmulgee;and four sisters,Winnie WITHERSPOON of Oklahoma City,Loree GARRISON of Tulsa,Cleo WOODSON of Elk City,and Johnnee Lytle of Santa Barbara,Calif.;her aunt,Bertie DENTON,Carter,and one sister-in-law,Thelma HYDER,Elk City. She was preceded in death by her parents,her husband,one sister,Ruby CHRISTOPHER,and one son,Andy Lee HYDER. Burial will be in Carter cemetery under the direction of Savage Funeral Home.
