B. 2 Nov 1871 D. 23 Feb 1946 Sayre-Doxey Cemetery Beckham Co., OK H/O Minnie [Milburn] M. 1892 Funeral services for Marvin L. Inman, pioneer Sayre resident, who died at his home Saturday follow- ing a brief critical illness were held Sunday afternoon at the Church of Christ with Roy L. Ruckman officiating. Mr. Inman was born November 2, 1871 in Missouri and was mar- ried in 1892 to Miss Minnie Mil- burn. He was a member of the Church of Christ and the Masonic lodge. He came to western Oklahoma from Ardmore in 1902 and settled on a farm north of Texola. In 1914 they moved to Sayre where he served as undersheriff for Bob Francis. In 1918 he was elected county assessor and served three terms. He served as undersheriff for Mr. Phillips and was justice of the peace until he retired three years ago because of ill health. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. G. I. Lauderdale of Shawnee, Mrs. E. R. Gruenwald of Shawnee and three sons, Otha of Sayre, Glen of Winona, Miss., and Floyd of Oklahoma City. Other survivors are five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral Arrangements were in charge of Scroggins Funeral home. Sayre Sun 28 Feb 1946.
