Gene Malcolm Burks

SAYRE, Okla. - Gene Malcolm Burks, 76, died Sunday, May 16, 2004.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Rector Funeral Home Chapel in Amarillo,
Texas, with Jerry Klein officiating. A second service will be at 2:30 p.m.
today in Sayre Church of Christ with Roy Hardesty officiating. Burial will be
in Buffalo Cemetery by Rose Chapel Funeral Service.

Mr. Burks was born Oct. 24, 1927, in Delhi. He married Frances Nadine
Copenhaver on July 2, 1948.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Pam Biggs of Panhandle, Texas, and
Debbie Wixson of Houston; four grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Pounds of
Joplin, Mo., and Judy Robertson of Zapata, Texas; and two brothers, Reyburn
Burks of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Don Burks of Amarillo.
