Lorene Carter

Lorene Carter, 82, of Temple, formerly of Amarillo, died Tuesday, May 24,
2005, in Oklahoma City.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Llano Cemetery with the Rex.
Max Beggs, an Assembly of God minister, officiating. Burial will be in Llano
Cemetery by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and
Pierce Street.

Mrs. Carter married T.K. Carter on Oct. 25, 1940, in Amarillo.

She was preceded in death by her husband on June 27, 2003; and a son, Thomas
Carter Jr. on March 23, 1973.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn DeViney of Temple and Martha Carter
of Elk City, Okla.; a sister, Lucille Smith of Phoenix; nine grandchildren; 12
great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
