Loyd "Duck" Dickerson Jr.

ABILENE - Loyd "Duck" Dickerson Jr., 73, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Hawley Cemetery. Arrangements
are by Girdner-Brown Funeral Home.

Mr. Dickerson was born Oct. 24, 1931, in Elk City, Okla. He was a farmer most
of his life. He was a longtime resident of Clarendon before moving to Abilene
in 1997.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister; and a daughter.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Doris; three daughters, Jane Odom of Como,
and Alice Dickerson and Cynthia Heathington, both of Childress; a son, Mark
Dickerson of Hawley; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two
sisters, Neoma Rippetoe and Jay Guinn, both of Clarendon.
