Gaston E. Dobbs
Gaston E. Dobbs, 90, of Amarillo, died Saturday, April 29, 2000, in Elk City, Okla.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Robert 
Field of Southeast Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by N.S. Griggs & 
Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd.

Mr. Dobbs was born in Erick, Okla., and grew up in Oklahoma City, where he graduated 
from high school. He attended Oklahoma City University. He moved to Amarillo in 1952 
from Oklahoma City. He was a self-employed construction contractor and also had a 
ranch in Erick.

He was a member of San Jacinto Baptist Church.

Mr. Dobbs married Mary Kathryn Pennington in 1935. She died in 1985. He married 
Esther Coleman in 1986. She died in 1999. He also was preceded in death by a 
daughter, Kathryn Jean Morton, in 1980.

Survivors include two sons, Don Dobbs of Oklahoma City and Dale Dobbs of Amarillo; 
10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
