Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Phil Mercado, pastor, officiating. Military honors to be rendered by the Disabled American Veterans Chapter No. 26. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mr. Franklin was born in Cordell, Okla. He graduated from Dill City High School in Oklahoma. In 1944, he moved to Amarillo from Pawnee, Okla. During World War II, he served in the Army. He was a heavyequipment operator. Mr. Franklin married Bobbie Murphy in 1966 at Hobart, Okla. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lorna Sue Franklin, in 1952; and a stepdaughter, Elaine Crider, in 1987. Survivors include his wife; a stepdaughter, June Cherb of Morrison, Okla.; two stepsons, Freddie Cherb of Glencoe, Okla., and Johnny Cherb of Amarillo; his mother, Ruby Franklin of Elk City, Okla.; a sister, Fredia Williams of Elk City; a brother, Barry Franklin of Cordell; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
