Wiley Newell "Buster" Gipson

SHAMROCK - Wiley Newell "Buster" Gipson, 92, died Tuesday, April 19, 2005.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with Joe G. Jernigan,
pastor of Calvary Christian Fellowship, officiating. Burial will be in Texola
Cemetery in Texola, Okla., by Wright Funeral Directors.

Mr. Gipson was born Jan. 18, 1913, in Benonine. He married Lura Mae Brooks on
Aug. 4, 1934, in Texola. They lived in Texola and farmed both in Texas and
Oklahoma until they retired and moved to Shamrock in the late 1970s. He was a
member of First Baptist Church of Shamrock.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son; nine brothers and sisters; and
a grandson.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Neil Gipson and wife, Shirley, of Odessa;
two daughters, Willie Sappington and husband, Gerald, of Amarillo and Shirley
Tuttle and husband, Don, of Shamrock; four grandchildren; 11 great-
grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church or a favorite
charity.
