All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ Kenneth Vaughn Gipson WEATHERFORD, OKLA. - Kenneth Vaughn Gipson, 42, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Pine Acres Church with Tony Cannon and Brian Harris officiating. Burial will be in Texola Cemetery in Texola by Lockstone Funeral Home. Kenny was born Jan. 13, 1964, in Shamrock, Texas, to Kenneth and Hazel Simmons Gipson and passed away on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006, at Southwestern Memorial Hospital in Weatherford. Kenny was raised and attended school in Amarillo, Texas, graduating from Palo Duro High School in 1982. In 1985, he graduated from Amarillo College. On July 18, 1987, Kenny married Lisa Summers in Amarillo. He worked for an uncle while in Amarillo, and then moved to Weatherford where he worked for Raven Co. for five years. In 1991, Kenny started working for Dobson Communications where he had been the last 15 years. Kenny enjoyed family activities, sports, hunting, fishing and working on the farm with his father. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jimmy Simmons and Bob Gipson; and his father-in-law, Harm Summers. Survivors incude his wife, Lisa Gipson; four sons, Kaden, Kolton, Kamron and Konner Gipson, all of Weatherford; his parents, Kenneth and Hazel Gipson of Amarillo; a brother, Kip Gipson of Amarillo; a sister, Tina Weatherbee and husband Ty of Amarillo; and his grandmothers, Lucy Mae Gipson of Texola and Eller Marie Simmons of Amarillo. The family suggests memorials be to the Youth Fund at Pine Acres Church.
