All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ Ocie Odell Harding ERICK, Okla. - Ocie Odell Harding, 87, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, in Sayre. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Erick First Baptist Church with Mike Mong and Carl Hein officiating. Burial will be in Texola Cemetery by Fatheree-Albert Funeral Home. Mrs. Harding was born Nov. 28, 1913, in Poteau, Okla., to Cora Ellen and William Deaton. Ocie grew up in Poteau before moving to Texola, where she met Charlie Harding. They married on March 28, 1934. They lived in Shamrock, Texas until 1953, when they moved to Wheeler, Texas. Charlie passed away in 1980. She remained in Wheeler until 1993, when she moved to Erick. She was a member of Erick First Baptist Church. Mrs. Harding was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Charles Ray Harding; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters and five brothers. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Abla and husband, Duane, of Erick and Patsy Schaffer and husband, Sam, of Wellington, Texas; two sons, Paul Harding and wife, Dovie, of Lubbock, Texas and Louis Harding of Erick, Okla.; a sister-in-law, Blanche Deaton of Poteau, Okla.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.
