Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Plains Cemetery in Forrest. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. in Amarillo. Survivors include his close friend, Leona Morris of Tucumcari; a daughter, Brenda Van Hoff; two sons, Jimmy Helker and Kim Helker of Sayre, Okla.; three sisters, Leona Kelton of Littlefield, Texas, Versey Keffer of Elk City, Okla., and Dessie Drawski; six brothers, Orville Helker of Forrest, Emitt Helker, Cleo Helker, Leo Helker and Leach Helker, all of Clovis, and Ennis Helker of Oklahoma City; and two grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice, Olivia's Angels, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176.
