Johnson, 69, died Friday, March 30, 2001. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Chapel of the Fountains at Brown Funeral Directors with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. in Elmhurst Cemetery at Guymon, Okla., with the Rev. Lloyd Riddles, pastor of Sunset Lane Baptist Church, officiating. Mr. Johnson was born Feb. 17, 1932, nine miles north of Friona, to Arthur Eugene Johnson and Myrtle Frances Hilton Johnson. He was 69 when he went to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dorothy Waddell. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1951 and started his employment with South- western Public Service in Dec., 1951. He was drafted into the Army in Dec., 1952. He was in the Artillery Division. He served two years and was honorably discharged. On Dec. 10, 1954, he married Patricia Ann Bronson. He resumed employment with Southwestern Public Service and retired as a general foreman in 1997 after 45 years of loyal employment. Mr. Johnson was an active member of the Guymon Lions Club until his transfer to Borger, where he had lived for the past 14 years. He was a very devoted and loyal husband. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren more than life itself. They were his life. He always gave of himself and never asked for anything in return. He was always there for his wife, children and grandchildren, lending a helping hand and never asking why because it didn't matter. He loved his family so much that he didn't care why they needed him. He was just glad he could always help. He always had to stay busy; he loved being at the ranch working on things and taking care of the horses. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. We cannot possibly imagine life without him. We will never forget our beloved husband, father and grandpa, because he will always live in our hearts forever. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Randy Charles Johnson and wife Nancy of Guymon and Robert Eugene Johnson and wife Vickie of Elk City, Okla.; a daughter, Donna Kay "Ketcherside" Esser and husband J.B. of Kismet, Kan.; a sister, Leota Bolding of Granbury; four grandchildren, Jeremiah and Nicole Johnson of Guymon, Monica Cox and husband Brian of Plains, Kan., Jimmy Ketcherside of Kismet; three great-grandchildren, Baleigh Watson and Jayden Johnson of Guymon and Logan Cox of Plains.
