All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ Elmer Beauford "Jack" Jones Elmer Beauford "Jack" Jones, 92, of Amarillo died Thursday, July 31, 2003. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Amarillo Primitive Baptist Church with R.A. Tindall, elder and pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Holley Funeral Home of Canyon. Mr. Jones was born Oct. 19, 1910, in Mansfield. He married Bessie Fuller on Aug. 1, 1936, in Raymondville. Jack spent much of his life farming and together he and Bessie raised seven children. They moved to Amarillo in the mid-1970s, where Jack worked for Bell Helicopter until his retirement. Jack and Bessie shared 44 wonderful years together before she preceded him in death on Aug. 5, 1980. Jack married Ruby Merle Doss on Feb. 14, 1981. Jack will be remembered by all for his great love of family and friends. He will be forever missed by all those who loved him. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Wing of Sayre, Okla. Survivors include his second wife; three sons, Elmer Wayne Jones of Whiteface, Gary Jones of Amarillo and Eddie Jones of Elgin; three daughters, Louise Estes of Fresno, Calif., Carol Kinney of Round Rock and Brenda Hodges of Amarillo; a sister, Fern Kerr of Memphis; three half-sisters, Lorraine Skelton, Rosalynn Jones and Emma Jean Newcomb, all of Elk City, Okla.; two half-brothers, Larry Jones and Dean Jones, both of Joshua; 24 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
