All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ Beatrice Wilcox Link Beatrice Mildred Wilcox Link, 88, of Amarillo died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Troy Shepard and Kenneth Smith of Victory Tabernacle officiating. Mrs. "Bea" Link was born Nov. 7, 1915, in Major County, Okla., to Emerson and Edna Wilcox. She married Leslie Vernon Link, "The Candy Man," in Fairview, Okla., on May 1, 1935. They lived in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado before settling in Amarillo in 1947. They moved to Clear Creek, Okla., in 1987, and in 1999, they returned to Amarillo. Bea showed her love for the Lord in all she did for her family and friends. Her pillows are a symbol of her love. She enjoyed playing cards and dominoes with her family. She liked listening to gospel music, especially her family's music. Even though she became unable to attend church, she continued her prayer ministry and wrote letters and cards of encouragement. The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers and thoughts. Thanks to the hospice staff members and caregivers for all their support. She was preceded in death by a son, Ernie Link in 2002, and a great-great- grandson, Tanner Ashrafi, in 2002. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Linda O'Hara and Mary Lewis, both of Amarillo; three sons, Gerald Link of Channing, Ray Link of Amarillo, and Wayne Link of Seiling, Okla.; two sisters, Ruby Bowers of Fairview, Okla., and Dorothy Gollihugh of Amarillo; a brother, Willis Wilcox of Elk City, Okla.; 26 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
