All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ Oklahoma Woodrow Wilson Miller MAYFIELD, Okla. - Woodrow Wilson Miller, 85, died Tuesday, July 7, 1998, at Elk City. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Erick Church of the Nazarene with Danny Cook, Mark Williams and Vernon Bailey officiating. Burial will be in the Mayfield Cemetery by Fatheree-Albert Funeral Home of Erick. Mr. Miller was born in Mayfield and raised in the Mayfield community, where he attended school. He married Leona Shelby in 1934 at Clovis, N.M. They made their home in Mayfield. He farmed and ranched near Mayfield until retiring in 1973. He and his wife, Leona, carried the Star Route mail for many years. After his wife's death in 1993, he continued to carry the mail until his death. He also was preceded in death by a son, Carrol Dean and an infant daughter. He married Edith Alexander in 1996 at Clovis. Survivors include his wife, Edith; three daughters, Betty James and Rose Rocha, both of Oklahoma City and Mary Wells, of Dallas, Texas; five sons, Glen Miller of Amarillo, Texas, Joe Miller of Earth, Texas, Earnest W. "Red" Miller of Clinton and Danny Miller and Gene Miller, both of Erick; a sister, Rachel Richardson of Modesto, Calif.; a brother, Paul Miller of Corona, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
