   Fern L. Montgomery
   Fern L. Montgomery, 81, of Amarillo, died Monday, June 29, 1998.
   
   Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Stephen United
   Methodist Church with the Rev. Dean Wynn of the church officiating.
   Cremation and arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E.
   Interstate 40.
   
   Mrs. Montgomery was born in Elk City, Okla. She was a homemaker and
   member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church.
   
   She married Kenner Jess Montgomery in 1944 at San Diego. He died in
   1965.
   
   Survivors include two sons, Jess Montgomery of Dumas and Kyle
   Montgomery of Denver; two brothers, Robert Spitzer of Sayre, Okla.,
   and Doyle Spitzer of California; and two grandchildren.
   
   The family requests memorials be to St. Stephen United Methodist
   Church.
