   Lanham Hugh Nelson
   HOBBS, N.M. - Lanham Hugh Nelson, 84, died Sunday, March 16, 1997.
   
   Services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Hope with the Rev.
   Lavoid Ford and Mr. Phil Borden officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m.
   Wednesday in Memory Gardens at Amarillo.
   
   Mr. Nelson was born in Lakeview, Texas. He married Ada Lois Sharp in
   1989 at Hobbs. He was an auctioneer and a member of Temple Baptist
   Church.
   
   Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Patsy Darlene Borden of
   McCamey, Texas, Connie Lynn Nelson of Sante Fe and Mary Kathryn Nelson
   of Dallas; a brother, Grady Boscom Nelson of Lubbock, Texas; a sister,
   Dorris Latham of Elk City, Okla.; four grandchildren; and four
   great-grandchildren.
   
   The family requests memorials be to Temple Baptist Church or Morning
   Star.
