All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ Doris Marie Odom ELK CITY, Okla. - Doris Marie Odom, 55, died Monday, Aug. 10, 1998, in Oklahoma City. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Trinity Holiness Church, 103 N. Van Buren in Blanchard with the Rev. Don Williams officiating. Burial will be in Blanchard Cemetery by Binyon Funeral Home. Mrs. Odom was born in Blanchard and attended Middleburg School. She graduated from Dibble High School in 1960. After her marriage, she lived in Midwest City, then moved to Chickasha. She moved to Pampa, Texas, in 1965 from Fort Smith, Ark., then moved to Elk City in 1990. In 1968, Mrs. Odom founded and was co-owner of Glo Valve. She joined Pampa Desk and Derrick in 1979 where she served as president in 1982 and Region V director in 1986. In 1996, she served as president of the International Association of Desk and Derrick Club. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Pampa. She married Harry Lynn Odom in 1961 at Middleburg. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Greg Odom and Rob Odom, both of Elk City, and Ron Odom of Blancard; her parents, Gladys and Farrell Williams of Blanchard; two brothers, Darrell Williams and Ray Williams, both of Blanchard; two sisters, Glenda Whinery of Paso Robles, Calif., and Brenda Meier of Elk City; and five grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the American Cancer Society.
