All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ Floyd B. Otis CANADIAN - Floyd B. Otis, 88, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Daryle Perry of Elk City, Okla., officiating. Arrangements are by Stickley-Hill Funeral Directors of Canadian. Mr. Otis was born in Wilsey, Kan., and attended a country school in Morris County, Kan. In 1946 he moved to Canadian where he was employed for 15 years by the Canadian Grain Co-op. In 1981 he retired after 20 years with the city of Canadian. Mr. Otis was a member of First Christian Church in Wilsey. He was a member of the Canadian Roping Club. He married Frances Shearer in 1935 at Cottonwood Falls, Kan. He was preceded in death by a son, Floyd Otis Jr., in 1981. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Shorty Otis of Canadian, Frank Otis of Topeka, Kan., and Freddie Otis of Alex, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; and nine greatgrandchildren.
