Lee Clyde "L.C." Owens

HOT SPRINGS, ARK. - Lee Clyde "L.C." Owens, 79, died Tuesday, June 21, 2005.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Hansford Cemetery in Spearman,
Texas. Arrangements are by Gross Funeral Home.

Mr. Owens was born Jan. 31, 1926, in Clyde, Texas, to Callie Gertrude Owens
and Dick Owens. He was married to Wyona Owens for 44 years and worked for
Baker and Taylor Drilling Co. as truck superintendent for 40 years.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Darrie Francis of Perryton, Texas; a
son, Pete Owens of St. Claire, Mich.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-
grandchildren; two brothers, James Owens of Stinnett, Texas, and Jack Owens of
Elk City, Okla.; and two sisters, Sadie Simpson of Borrego Springs, Calif.,
and Patsy Fields of Charleston, S.C.

The family suggests memorials be to Spearman Little League or to Hansford
Hospice.
