All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ Wilma Dene Patterson Wilma Dene Patterson, 80, of Amarillo died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Wheeler Cemetery in Wheeler with Ricky Pfeil of Kingdom Keys Network officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Ms. Patterson was born July 10, 1925, to Harvey and Nora Patterson in Wheeler County. She attended Sandy Basin School, graduated from Wheeler High School and attended Life Bible College in California for two years. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone and worked for Pantex during World War II. She was a night auditor for several Amarillo hotels before retiring and moving to Wheeler. She was a member of Four Square Church in Amarillo. After being diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 1999, she was moved to Vivian's Nursing Home. She attended church regularly prior to her illness. She was preceded in death by her father on Nov. 12, 1966; her mother on Sept. 12, 1992; and a brother, William J. "Dub" Patterson on July 19, 1987. Survivors include two sisters, Mary E. Caswell of Elk City, Okla., and Floy B. Lewis of Amarillo; a brother, Nile J. Patterson of Claude; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-great-nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79101 or Vivian's Nursing Home of Amarillo.
