All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ Beryl Marie Gum Rimmel Beryl Marie Gum Rimmel, 87, of Amarillo, formerly of Hardesty, Okla., died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hartville Cemetery in Hardesty with the Rev. Don Calvert, pastor of Hardesty United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon, Okla. Mrs. Rimmel was born Aug. 23, 1918, near Hardesty. Her parents were Bessie Ingels Gum and Ernest G. Gum. She graduated from Hardesty High School and Panhandle A&M College in Goodwell. She married Alex G. Rimmel on Feb. 12, 1946. They lived in Hammond, Ind., and retired in Phoenix. He preceded her in death on June 15, 1998. She moved to Amarillo in September 2001 and resided at Craig Retirement Center. She was a member of Christ Church of the Valley in Phoenix and attended Craig Methodist Chapel. She was a homemaker, seamstress and avid sports fan who enjoyed life. She was also preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Survivors include a brother, Buster E. Gum of Texhoma, Okla., three nieces, Suzanne Labry of Burnet, Carolyn Whiteside of Amarillo and Shirley Smith of Elk City, Okla.; and six nephews, Kirk Williams of Happy, Gary Gum of Amarillo, Tim Gum of Kennesaw, Ga., Bruce Gum of Guymon, Jerry Gum of Hardesty and Ted Gum of Gruver. The family suggests memorials be to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch and may be sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 1306, Guymon, OK 73942.
