Dorothy "Dot" Roach

BOVINA - Dorothy "Dot" Roach, 79, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Bovina United Methodist Church
with the Rev. Jimmy McGuire and the Rev. Gene Hawkins, both of Lubbock,
officiating. Arrangements are by Blackwell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Roach was born Oct. 16, 1924, in Elk City, Okla., to Earnest and Florence
(Reed) Foster. She had lived in the Bovina area since 1930, moving from Turkey.
She married James D. "Sonny" Roach on Feb. 10, 1940, in Portales, N.M. She was
a homemaker and a member of the Bovina United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband on March 20, 2000.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Roach of Farwell; a daughter, Judy Ezell of
Plano; a sister, Mary Cole of Panhandle; a sister-in-law, Frances Hawkins of
Bovina; and two grandchildren, Turner and Stacy Roach.

The family suggests memorials be to American Heart Association or Cal Farley's
Boys Ranch.
