Porter Rogers
WHEELER - Porter Rogers, 86, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000, in Elk City, Okla.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Allison Methodist Church at Allison with 
the Rev. Wayne Sheffield, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Zybach 
Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Mr. Rogers was born in Hubbard and moved to the Allison area in 1917. He 
graduated from Allison High School and attended Midwestern Junior College 
and Texas Tech. He was a farmer and rancher.

In 1990, he moved to Wheeler. He was a member of the Allison Methodist 
Church.

Mr. Rogers married Emma Hamilton in 1938 at Allison.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Louise Coulter of Allison; 
two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Allison Methodist Church.
