Gladys Scott

Gladys Scott, 78, of Amarillo died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Llano Cemetery with Bob
Thomas, chaplain of Odyssey Health Care, officiating. Arrangements are by N.S.
Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd.

Ms. Scott was born in Elk City, Okla., on Oct. 3, 1926, to Ernest and Nellie
Plemons. She worked in healthcare for many years in Oklahoma and Texas. She
was a loving Mother and Grannie. She was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by a sister; two brothers; three grandchildren; and
her parents.

Survivors include a son, Clifford Axton of Amarillo; three daughters,
Elizabeth Lewallan of Amarillo, Glenda Savage of Claremore, Okla., and Judy
Kidd of Piedmont, Okla.; two sisters, Wynema Kennemer and Shiley Killman, both
of Texas; four brothers, Thomas Fred Plemons of Missouri, Joe Ben Wray and
Wesley Wray, both of Texas, and Bud Wray of Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren; 28
great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
