Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Rose Chapel with Ray Smart officiating. Burial will be in Sayre-Doxey Cemetery by Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Mr. Sims was born Oct. 23, 1912, in Roll. He married Gladys V. Davis on May 11, 1934, in Cheyenne. Survivors include four daughters, Oleta Cree and Ann Macklin, both of Amarillo, Darlene Carter of Hereford, Texas, and Rhonda Lowell of Elk City; four sons, Bob Sims and Loyd Sims, both of Amarillo, and James Sims and Ron Sims, both of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a sister, Bertha Chick of Grand Junction, Colo.; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
