Robert Newell Smith

BORGER - Robert Newell Smith, 92, died Monday, March 21, 2005.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors
Memorial Chapel with the Rev. D. Jay Lewis, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church,
officiating. Burial will be in Stinnett Cemetery.

Mr. Smith was born March 21, 1913, in Gray County. He retired after 33 years
as a driller for Huber Oil and Gas.

Survivors include two sons, Roger Smith of Elk City, Okla., and Alan Smith of
Borger; three daughters, Roberta Wallace, Lou Ella Tindall and Joyce Scott,
all of Amarillo; a brother, Charlie Smith of Canyon; two sisters, Mrs. Edith
Womble of Spearman and Mrs. Eunice Bentley of Stinnett; 14 grandchildren; and
17 great-grandchildren.
