   Frances A. Smith
   BORGER - Frances A. Smith, 79, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 1997.
   
   Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Calvary Baptist Church with
   the Rev. Earl Skaggs, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset
   Memorial Cemetery at Stinnett. Arrangements are by Minton / Chatwell
   Funeral Directors.
   
   Mrs. Smith was born in Strong City, Kan., and had been a lifetime
   resident of Borger. She married Robert Newell Smith in 1933 at
   Panhandle. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
   
   Survivors include her husband; two sons, Alan Smith of Borger and
   Roger Smith of Elk City, Okla.; three daughters, Joyce Scott of
   Marietta, Ga., and Roberta Wallace and Lou Ella Tindall, both of
   Borger; a sister, Mary Lee Smith of Hartley; eight grandchildren; and
   seven greatgrandchildren.
   
   The family requests memorials be to Hospice of the Panhandle, 300 S.
   McGee, Borger, Texas 79007; of St. Anthony's Hospice and Life
   Enrichment Center, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, Texas 79107.
