Stafford LUBBOCK - Billy F. Stafford, 71, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2002. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Greenlawn Church of Christ with Kenneth Chaffin officiating. Burial with police department color guard and Masonic rites will be in Resthaven Cemetery by Rix Funeral Directors of Lubbock. Mr. Stafford was born Nov. 16, 1930, in Sayre, Okla. He served in the Army as a military police officer in Korea and joined the Lubbock Police Department in 1952, retiring in 1985. Survivors include his wife, Linda; a son, Jack Stafford of San Antonio; and a granddaughter, Jennifer of Comanche. The family suggests memorials be to Scottish Rite Learning Center, 602 Ave. Q, Lubbock, TX 79401; or to Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, 199300, Dallas, TX 75219-9842.
