   Mary Ellen Sweet
   DALHART - Mary Ellen Sweet, 73, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999.
   
   Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Dalhart Church of Christ.
   Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Dalhart by Hass Funeral
   Home.
   
   Mrs. Sweet was born in Texola, Okla., and raised in Texola and Erick,
   Okla. She worked for Douglas Aircraft on the assembly line during
   World War II. After the war, she moved to Dalhart and worked for
   General Telephone as an operator from 1951 until 1972. She was a
   member of Dalhart Church of Christ.
   
   She married A.O. Sweet in 1947 at Clayton, N.M. He preceded her in
   death.
   
   Survivors include two sons, Keith Sweet of Mesa, Ariz., and Kent Sweet
   of Amarillo; two daughters, Mary Zan Warren and Candy Wilbur, both of
   Amarillo; a brother, Richard "Dub" Rice of Lubbock; a sister, Ruby Zan
   Wright of Dalhart; eight grandchildren; and 12 greatgrandchildren.
