Mabel Swopes

ELK CITY, Okla. - Mabel Swopes, 98, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Whinery-Savage Funeral Service Chapel
with the Rev. Daniel Pulver officiating. Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Swopes was born Jan. 7, 1906, near Hamburg to Lottie and O.F. Selby. She
married Thomas E. Swopes on Dec. 2, 1922, at Rankin.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas F. Swopes of Noble and Jack Swopes of Elk
City; a daughter, Sylvia Norman of Stinnett, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 34
great-grandchildren; and 41 great-great-grandchildren.
