All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ LaJuana Treadwell ERICK, Okla. - LaJuana Treadwell, 82, died Tuesday, July 4, 2006. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Texola Baptist Church in Texola with Charlie Floyd officiating. Burial will be in Erick Cemetery by Fatheree-Albert Funeral Service. Mrs. Treadwell was born Nov. 10, 1923, in Garden Valley to T. A. and Eunice Treadwell. LaJuana lived most of her life near Briscoe, Texas. She was married to Jeff Puryear in Sayre on Feb. 24, 1940. In 1987, she moved to Pampa, Texas, and was very active in First Baptist Church. LaJuana moved to Erick in 2000 to be closer to her family. She loved to travel and went on many tours. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Pampa, and was actively involved in whatever church she attended. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Larry Puryear; and two brothers, Wayne Treadwell and Vendall Treadwell. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Mayfield and husband Eddie of Erick and Helen Puryear of Amarillo, Texas; four sons, Gary Puryear and wife Sandy of Oklahoma City, Jeffry Puryear and wife Julie of Fort Worth, Texas, Thomas Puryear of Snyder, Texas, and Harvey Puryear and wife Lois of Wheeler, Texas; three sisters, Lorene Jenkins of Amarillo, Monett Jenkins of Miami, Texas, and Laverne McDonald of New Hampshire; four brothers, Shots Treadwell of Colorado City, Texas, Troy Treadwell of Groom, Texas, Bobby Treadwell of Canyon, Texas, and David Treadwell of Kerrville, Texas; six grandchildren, Jason Mayfield and wife Heather and Jessica Lyons and husband Cory, all of Erick, Davis Puryear of Oklahoma City, Jeb Puryear and wife Anna of Fort Worth, and Wesley Puryear and Rodney Puryear, both of Wheeler; six great-grandchildren, Davis Mayfield, Aubrey Mayfield, Kasha McIntyre and Kaylor Lyons, all of Erick, and Emma Puryear and Gwyneth Puryear, both of Fort Worth; and a host of other relatives and friends.
