Dennis E. Turner
Dennis E. Turner, 63, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000.

Memorial services were at 11 a.m. Saturday in N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral 
Directors, Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. David Pool, 
chaplain of Crown of Texas Hospice, officiating.

Mr. Turner was born in Elk City, Okla. He was raised in Enid, Okla., and 
moved to Amarillo in the 1980s from Arizona. He was former owner and 
operator of Wood & Wishes. He was a Baptist.

He married Phylis Gearhart in 1988 at Las Vegas.

Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Michael Drake of Amarillo; two 
stepdaughters, Rebecca Holland of Fritch and Debra Moak of Amarillo; 
a sister, Phyllis Gurthie of Enid; and seven grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. 
Jefferson St., Amarillo, TX 79101.
