All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ William Patrick Walker CANADIAN - William Patrick Walker, 49, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Presbyterian Church with Gary Jahnel and the Rev. John Duncan officiating. Burial will be in the family cemetery at the Ramp-Walker Spur Ranch by Hughs Funeral Home. Mr. Walker was born May 24, 1955, in Canadian to Mr. Glen Bill Walker and the late Mrs. Peggy Joan Ramp Walker. He attended grammar school in Blue Ridge and graduated from Canadian High School in 1973. He graduated from Oklahoma State Tech at Okmulgee, Okla., with an associate's degree and then attended West Texas State University for a year. He was a lifelong resident of Hemphill County. He married Patty King on Feb. 11, 1994, in Elk City, Okla. He was a rancher and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Canadian. He was also a member of Canadian Lodge No. 855 AF&AM. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shyann Elizabeth Walker on March 24, 2004. Survivors include his wife; a son, Chad Brian Walker of Canadian; two daughters, Melissa Walker and Rachel Walker, both of Canadian; his parents, Glen Bill and Helen Ann Walker of Canadian; a sister, Anna Jane Brown of Dallas; a stepsister, Riley Reinker of Dallas; and a stepbrother, Richard Barton of Frisco. The family suggests memorials be to Ramp-Walker Scholarship Fund, 605 Purcell Ave., Canadian, TX 79014. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the church. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 5, 2004
