Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Brooks Funeral Directors Chapel, 1702 5th Ave., with Bob Shepard, Bible chair director of University Church of Christ, officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in New Herman Cemetery in Leedey, Okla. Mrs. Woodard was born to William Brackston and Mary Bertha McKay Yarbrough on March 15, 1922, in Leedey. She married Charles Franklin "Chock" Woodard on June 7, 1941. She moved from Perryton to Canyon in 1991. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her grandchildren, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990 and by five brothers. Survivors include a son, Ed Woodard and wife, Pam, of Canyon; two grandchildren, Chad Woodard and wife, Heather, of Aubrey and Adam Woodard of Dalhart; two brothers, Verdie Yarbrough of Elk City, Okla., and Vernon Yarbrough of Amarillo; three sisters, Alene Scott of San Antonio, Launa Sharp of Amarillo and Lenora Musgrove of Great Bend, Kan.; and 235 nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. The family suggests memorials be to University Church of Christ Benevolent Fund, 3400 Conner Dr., Canyon, TX 79015. Amarillo Globe-News, July 4, 2004
