All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ Otis Leo Wynn FOLLETT - Otis Leo ``Doc'' Wynn, 86, a former Follett resident, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 1996. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Melvin Rittenhouse and the Rev. M.D. Methvin officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery at Follett by Seeger Funeral Home of Laverne, Okla. Mr. Wynn was born in Blanchard, Okla. His family moved to Lipscomb County in 1922. He farmed and ranched near Follett. He was a World War II veteran. He was inducted into the Army in 1942 and was assigned to the 37th General Hospital. He went to North Africa and served there until 1944, when he was sent to Italy. He was discharged in 1945 and returned to Follett. He married Ellin Broyles in 1953. They lived in Sedan, Kan., and returned to Follett in 1962. They moved to Selman, Okla., in 1981. Survivors include his wife; a son, Mac Wynn of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Vernon Wynn of Elk City, Okla., Dee Wynn of Choctaw, Okla, and Coy Wynn of McLoud, Okla.; and a sister, Faye Fleming of Tulsa, Okla. The family requests memorials be to the United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 186, Follett, Texas 79034.
