Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Eleventh Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Miller of Memphis and Scott Porter officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mrs. King was born Nov. 27, 1920, in Denison. She married Kenneth King on July 2, 1944, in Pampa. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mary Gray of Sayre, Okla., and Lena Joyce Porter of Shamrock; two brothers, William Benton Underwood and Roy Russell Underwood, both of Amarillo; six sisters, Mary Miller, Jessie McCutcheon, Georgie Simmons and Nellie Langford, all of Amarillo, Maudie Barefoot of Howardwick and Mildred Barnett of Watsonville, Calif.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Eleventh Street Baptist Church Building Fund; or Crown of Texas Hospice. Amarillo Globe-News, June 29, 2002
