The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ *********************************************************************** *Note* JACKSON,Albert R. b.15 Mar 1872 d.22 July 1932 buried Carter Cemetery*Beckham county Oklahoma m.1898 Mary Ellen (CADER) ************************************************************* Albert R.JACKSON was born March 15,1872 at Tyler,Texas and died July 22,1932 at the age of 60 years,4 months and 7 days.He came to Oklahoma about the year 1898 remaining a short time,then moving to New Mexico where he remained until 1910 at which time he returned to Carter,Oklahoma where he resided to Sayre,Oklahoma at which place he resided until his death.He was united in matrimony to Mary Ellen Cader in 1898.To this union were born 6 children,two of whom are living,Mrs.Moody ROGERS of Sayre and Miss Lavern JACKSON also of Sayre.He was preceded in death by four infant children also his wife who departed this life June 19,five years ago.Besides his immediate family he leaves a host of friends and relatives to mourn his death.Mr.JACKSON was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Carter.Funeral service were held at the First Methodist church in Sayre Sunday afternoon,July 24 at 2:30 o'clock,Rev.J.L.DAVIS officiating.Interment was made in Carter Cemetery.Masonic lodge had charge of the services at the grave.*Sayre Headlight 4 Aug 1932 **********************Funeral services for A.R.JACKSON ,60 of this city who succumbed at the home of his daughter,Mrs.D.M.ROGERS Friday morning of a chronic illness of over three years were held at the First Methodist church Sunday afternoon with Rev.J.L.DAVIS officiating.Interment was made in the Carter cemetery.Masonic lodge had charge of the burial service.Mr.JACKSON operated a mercantile business in Carter for several years prior to coming to Sayre in 1929.During his residence in Carter and in Sayre he made many friends not only for his likeable personality but for the honest and straightforward manner in which he conducted his business affairs.He was admired and respected by all his acquaintences.Immediate relatives surviving Mr.JACKSON are Mrs.D.M.ROGERS and Miss LaVera JACKSON both of this city.*28 July 1932 Sayre Headlight*
