   ( Carter Express 01 Nov 1928 ) Mrs.Henrietta JOHNSTON was born in
   Texas,January 16th,1877,and departed from this life October
   18th,1928,after being confined to her bed only two days,although she
   had been in very bad health for several months.
   
   She united with the Church of Christ at about the age of 16 and lived
   ever faithful until her death.
   
   She was married to Porter JOHNSTON March 14th,1894.To this union was
   born eight children,four sons and daughters,all of whom are
   living.They moved to Oklahoma in 1902 and homesteaded on a farm south
   of Delhi,where she gained many friends.They were living near Grimes at
   the time of her death.
   
   Funeral services were conducted at Carter cemetery by Rev.CARMAN of
   Elk City.A number of friends gathered to pay their last respects to
   the departed one.
   
   She leaves to mourn her
   departure,husband,sons,Marshall,Virgil,Thomas,and Anthony
   JOHNSTON,daughters Sallie UPTERGROVE,Emma ALLEN,Rosa JOHNSTON and Eva
   MAYERS.A mother,Mrs.S.S.SIMMONS,three brothers and three sisters and
   other relatives and friends.
