Horace Lee Janes will be in charge. Mrs. Lyng died Wednesday morn- ing after an illness of six weeks. Burial will be in Fairlawn ceme- tery with Martin-Hullum in charge of arrangements. Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Mary Ellen Lyng, 91 year old pion- eer of western Oklahoma, are incom- plete, pending word from relatives. Mrs. Lyng died Wednesday morning at her home, 409 N. Madison, after an illness of six weeks. Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Blair, Mrs.. Lyng was born February 1, 1852 in Campbell county, Georgia on June 10, 1874 she was married to Thomas Osman Lyng in Comanche, Tex. The came to Beckham county in June, 1901 and have lived in and a- round Elk City ever since. He hus- band preceded her in death on June 23, 1924. Survivors are O. O. Lyng, Mrs. Daisy Pinkerton, Mrs. G. E. Pinker- ton Mrs. M. O. Kelly, all of Elk City; Mrs. L. N. Barnhart, of Central Valley, Calif., Mrs. Pearl Mahonks, of Enid and Mrs.. Mary Burkett and W. W. Lyng, both of Oklahoma City. Funeral arrangements are in charge of Martin-Hullum funeral home and burial will be in Fairlawn cemetery. Elk City Newspaper 29 Apr 43
