  A. S. Maddox was found dead in his
field Friday afternoon.  An inquest 
was held and it was decided his death
was the result of heart disease.  Mr..
Maddox was apparently well and 
hearty at noon and had been working
in the field all day.
  Mr. Maddox had been a citizen of
Roger Mills county for three years
and by his death the county loses a
splendid citizen.  He left a wife and
three children.  Mr. Maddox was a
member in good standing of the Anc-
ient Order of United Workmen in
which he carried two thousand dollars
insurance.  His remains were carried
to Ural Saturday for interment.
  (Note - Mr. Maddox was the first
husband of Mrs. Glasgow,  and the
three children are Mrs. Chas. Tribble,
Mrs. Ernest Hoover, Mrs. M. L. Wil-
liams.)
