The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ *********************************************************************** Mr. Fredrick Thornton Males, 82, of Rt. 1 Duahm, Oklahoma, was born November 12, 1900 in Indian Territory, Oklahoma (near Antlers) to George W. and Bertie Frankie Males. He passed from this life Tuesday, November 1, 1983 at approximately 5 am.m. in the Sayre Memorial Hospital, Sayre, Oklahoma. In 1903 Fred Males moved with his parents to Roger Mills County and they settled near Reydon. On December 25, 1924 he and Emma Lucille Sanford were united in marriage in Reydon, where they lived until 1935 when they moved to the Durham Community to make their home. Mr. Males was preceded in death by his parents, one son and one brother. Those who survived him are his wife, Lucille of the home; 2 daughters, Freddie Lou Moon of Borger, Texas; Frankie Marie Hasse of Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 2 sisters,Frankie Gray of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Eunice Gamble of Erick, Oklahoma; 1 brother, L.L. Males of Cheyenne. Also other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by F.R. Johnson of Allison, Texas, in the Durham Community Building Thursday, November 3, 1983 at 2 p.m. with interment following in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne. Active Pallbearers were Jerry Moon, Terry Moon, Wade Spencer, Jim Males, Bonnie Haase and Glen Cockrell. Honorary pallbearers were Howard Metcalfe, Willis Malson, Austin R. Davis, Dewitt Hawkins, W.W. Shindell and Fred Schmidt.
