PIONEER WOMAN OF CARTER DIED MONDAY --

Miss Betty Mc ATEE died at her home near Carter Monday morning at 3
o'clock,after an illness of eight months.She was 86 years of age at her
death.Miss McATEE has lived near Carter for a number of years and was
known by a greater part of the people of this community.

She leaves to mourn her death two brothers,John McATEE of Carter and
Mathew McATEE of Tyler,Texas,and two sisters,Miss Emma McATEE and
Mrs.Mary REEDER of Big Springs,Texas.

Rev.C.C.WILLIAMSON,pastor of the First Methodist church in that
community,conducted the ceremony

KILLOUGH-HULLUM,funeral directers,were in charge.
