W. & Maude(Dawson) H/O Leona (Mabra) H/O ? Funeral services were held at three o'clock this afternoon for Robert Roy McCown, 315 West Ave, C. He died on Saturday as a result of an accident on Saturday, May 31. He was seriously hurt in a car wreck the same night of the Leedey tornado. Rites were held at the Baptist church with Rev. H. L. Janes offi- ciating. He was born in Austin, Texas on December 16, 1893. He came to Beckham county in 1912 and has been a resident here for 35 years. He was a member of the Baptist church. He is survived by his wife and one son and three daughters. The children are Raymond Ray Mc- Cown, Ardella Maude McCown, Mrs. W. E. Rogers and Mrs. W. E. Dewey. There are eight grandchil- dren. Two sisters, Mrs. Harlan Potter and Mrs. Loma Donahue of Elk City; eight brothers, G. H. Mc- Cown, Clarence J. McCown, Alda McCown, all of Stockton, Calif., and M. G. McCown of Colton, Calif., Charley McCown of Las Vegas, Nev., R. E. McCown, Wichita, Kans. and Earl McCown, Elk City. Funeral services were arranged by Martin-Hullum, funeral direct- ors.
