  Funeral services for Jesse Elbert McGuire, age 79, of Sayre, will be at 2 
p.m. tuesday at the Sayre Church of Christ, with H. L. collett officiating. 
Burial will be at the Buffalo Cemetery, under the direction of 
Fatheree-Albert Funeral Home of Erick.
  Mr. McGuier died Sunday at the Sayre Memorial Hospital after an extended 
illness.  He was born Oct. 1, 1900, at Copeville, TX, and came from Texas to 
Sayre in 1905.  He moved to the Mayfield-Sweetwater area in 1908.  He was 
married Dec. 30, 1923, to Bonnie Spencer at Mayfield.  They made their home 
in the Mayfield-Sweetwater Community until 1969, when they moved to Sayre. 
He was a retired farmer and member of the Church of Christ.
  Survivors are his wife, Bonnie of the home, 1 daughter, Christina Tucker 
of Stillwater; 2 sons, J. E. McGuire, Jr., and Gleen McGuire both of 
Sweetwater; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
  He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, 1 brother and 1 
grandson.
