Don Morgan died this morning, July 31, 2006. He was 84. 
He was born July 23, 1922 in Canyon, Texas, the son of 
Bud Markham and his wife Rebecca Mae Bassett. His parents 
were divorced, and Mae married French Morgan in 1928. French 
raised Don and his two brothers, Billy and Eddie, and then 
adopted them in 1942. French and Mae also had three other sons, 
J.B., Earl, and Robert. Eddie, J.B., Earl, and Robert are 
still living. Billy was killed in action in 1944 during a 
bombing run over Bucharest.

Don and Billy both graduated from Erick High School in 1941.

Don Morgan married Mildred Sue Barber, daughter of Rev. Davis 
D. Barber, on May 17, 1942, and they had four children, David, 
Donna, Susan, and Scott. He  served in the European Theater 
in World War II under General George Patton.

After the war, he attended OBU and Southwestern State College, 
and then attended the Kansas City College of Osteopathy and 
Surgery, graduating in 1950.

His first wife died in 1986, and he married Carlene Hunt in 
1988. She survives him.

Funeral services are pending in Temple, OK at this time.
