All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Sayre-Doxey Cemetery--Sayre OK The Sayre Journal, Thursday, December 23, 1993 pg 3 MOSES Edna Moses, 82, died Dec. 14, 1993, in the High Plains Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Dec. 17 at the First Baptist Church in Sayre with Tom Cooksey and Albert Warnken officiating. Burial was in the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Home of Sayre. Mrs. Moses, the daughter of Adeba and Wolf Khouri, was born Aug. 5, 1911, in Fulton, Ky. She moved to Hayti, Mo., with her parents, where she met and married Sol Moses on Oct. 1, 1947. They moved to Sayre where Moses owned and operated a shoe shop. In 1969, Me. and Mrs. Moses and their sons opened Sol's Western Wear in Sayre. Mrs. Moses was active in the store until her retirement in August 1987. She was a member of the Sayre First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Wayne, and one brother, Edward Khouri. She is survived by one son, Gene, of Sayre; one brother, William Khouri, of Elk City; one sister, Anna Mae Andrews, of Amarillo; one sister-in-law, Regina Khouri, of Hayti, Mo.; one uncle, Ed Jabour and his wife, Edna, of Anadarko; an aunt, Eva Salamy, of Anadarko; and several other relatives and friends. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.htm
